Magical Jupiter

Jupiter is the largest, and third brightest, planet in the solar system, orbiting sedately around the sun at a rate of nearly twelve years per course.
The gas giant, surprisingly, has the fastest rotation of all the planets, a day on Jupiter equating to just under ten hours.

Jupiter is identified with Zeus, King of the Gods and the God of Thunder.
Zeus is a wise man, being a King he must make decisions that affect many, drawing on his wisdom and experience.
Sitting on his throne, atop Mount Olympus, Zeus has two ravens sitting on his shoulders, one by the name of Thought, the other, Memory.
Thought and Memory advise Zeus in making his judgements and decisions.

Zeus has the ability to elevate, to place one among the stars, as he did Chiron and many others.
He also has the ability to condemn one to their own private hell, as he did Prometheus.

Planet Jupiter also holds these characteristics, of practical wisdom, justice, power, vision and judgement.
Jupiter is the planet of the law, and of those that uphold it.

Jupiter imparts expansion, wealth, happiness and great success.
Just as the Sun provides the drive and motivation to reach our goals, it is Jupiter that manifests these goals into solid reality.
Jupiter leads, expands and succeeds and as such, is the planet to call upon for bettering oneself and reaching set goals, especially those concerned with the higher mind, higher learning and wisdom.

Jupiter is associated with the Sephira of Chesed, the sphere of Mercy, on the Tree of Life.
This is the sphere of royalty, the King that leads a nation and makes decisions that will decide the fate of many.

The sphere of Chesed balances with that of Geburrah, Mercy and Severity.

In a position of authority both are sometimes required, it takes wisdom to decide which side of the balance is called for.

In the Tarot, Jupiter is associated with the Fours of the Minor Arcana.

The qualities of Jupiter can also be tied to the Wheel of Fortune, Justice, The Emperor and The Hierophant.
