My husband and I have lived together for fourteen years now. We have been through a lot together, the good times and the bad, the happy and the sad, and everything in between.
We have raised a daughter together. Made a home together. Shared the lives of our many pets together.
Yet, today is a special day for us, our second wedding anniversary. Yep, it took us twelve years to finally tie the knot! Literally tie the knot, as today, two years ago, we had our handbinding ceremony, overlooking the ocean.
It was a beautiful day, one I will never forget. We eloped, having only those closest to us present. Dad and Kay were our witnesses and guests, Drew my Bridesmaid and Leo was Best Man.
On that day we promised to love and care for each other, to grow old together. Two years in, we have kept those promises. Like any married couple, we have our good days and our bad. But no matter what, we always have the others’ back.
To Richard, I love you and am proud to call you Husband, to be your Wife. May the next two years be even better than the last. May we grow ever closer over the next fourteen years. I love you, my Husband. Oxoxo
